Wall Stickers
Wall Stickers are getting a lot of love lately. They are showing up everywhere from retail stores, to residential spaces. Whether you keep them forever or opt for temporary flare, they really spice up the spaces they are in. Wall decals were featured in the design of the living quarters for NBC’s The Apprentice. Here is the Flock design in silver on a sumptuous plum painted wall.
If you watched Oprah this week and watched the Clean Up Your Messy House Tour, you probably noticed the tiny but fabulous redecorated apartment in the East Village. Instead of busy artwork on the walls, the design team chose sleek black silhouette images from Blik Surface Graphics to keep it simple and stylish. Above the bed they chose the Birds of a Feather graphic in midnite, and the Chandelier in black in the main area. The black is set off very nicely against the light sea foam green.
There are so many images to choose from that would suit any taste. Go classic and select a large graphic in a nature or baroque motif, or customize your space with a oversized Monogram. If you are looking for something fun and whimsical, check out the RoCoco chalkboard, or the word puzzle decal. Wall stickers are also a fantastic way to dress up the nursery or a kids room without having to commit to a crazy paint color on the wall. They can be customized too- so if you can imagine it- a stick-up can be made that would be perfect for you. Do you have a favorite recipe and a blank slate of a wall in your kitchen? -Why not pick a fun font and customize a pretty homage for warm apple crepes!
