You have no idea just how excited I was when I found these appliances! They are stainless steel and look pretty much the same as all the other appliances out there you say? Well, yes, but LOOK at the overall dimensions! 24″…..for a fridge? Pricing is not to shabby either. For the average suburban homeowner this may not be a big deal, but for a cramped condo city dweller, the smaller appliances mean so much more. What does it mean? Well, 24″ or so of increased cabinet space goes a long way way when you don’t have place to store dishtowels, pots, or dry pantry items.

I believe an introduction to Murray Feiss is in order. Murray Feiss is a wonderfully crafted lighting company that carries an impressive line of fixtures that range from: just-found-in-the-attic-of-the-18th-century-home, to a lovely sleek contemporary style. The pendant on the far left is from the Arabesque family, the central pendant is from the Kinsey line, and the far right is from the Ethan collection.
The Collection Line by Maax is incredibly inspirational, and the Urban Shower is one of their shining examples. It is a wonderful option for a shower when you don’t want to break up a large bathroom with walls, but want to have a contained space for luxurious showering. See the large overhead component? That is the Rainmax square showerhead, it’s massive when you compare it to regular 8″ “rain shower heads” from competitors, because the rainmax is like standing in a clearing in the Amazon during rainy season. It’s pretty much that amazing.
Do you like the look and creative edge that can only come from a hand-painted mural but you don’t consider yourself an artist? No worries! Find an image you love and bring it into a copy store where they can make it into a transparency for you, get your hands on an overhead projector and away you go!
Macy’s has a new featured dinnerware line designed by a celebrity. The Edie Rose Peacock Feather dinnerware set is feminine and pretty and youthful, much like the designer herself! So who is it?
We are so close to Valentine’s Day, a day of L O V E! This wallpaper by Anthropologie is an adorable homage to the city of lights and love. The C’est Magnifique pattern is a delightful sketch-like wallpaper with just enough pretty pink and sunny yellow to make it pop.
While looking at floor plans for homes, I noticed several with fairly well-sized dormers. They were illustrated with a chair and that was all. There is so much more opportunity given to this space? Generally on the upper level of a home, these dormers usually are outfitted with windows that offer great views, so do something wonderful about it! Dormers can be a private spot since they are tucked away from the rest of the room they accompany, so a desk space/ reading nook is a perfect idea. The selection above is a collaboration I made of rich plum, champagne, pale lavender and grey. Chaise by Urban Outfitters, Desk by Crate and Barrel, Linen Chair by Overstock, Chandelier and Sconce by Home Depot, Bloom Cushion by Z Gallerie, Plum Cushion by Crate & Barrel, Rectangular Cushion by Room and Board, Glass Pull by CKP, Espirit Rug by Heine.
