Paso Doble Wallpaper Elitis sexy design

Oh la la! The Paso Doble Wallpaper print from Elitis in France is just as sultry as it sounds. The large scale lace mesh pattern stands out on the irridescent background.

It is available in four different color combinations.

I could see this paper as a great feature wall in a ultra chic loft, as it is very playful.

Sweetiepie restaurant Main

Sweetiepie Restaurant is a delicious little spot in New York where tots and those who are kids at heart can stop in for treats, lunch, or all day breakfast. It is a fun little spot that any parent wouldn't go begrudgingly when asked to, and the menu makes that quite clear. Kids can order a Roy Rogers and a hambuger while you can dine on a schnitzel with lemon white wine sauce. Chef Humberto Guallpa will not disappoint.

But it is the decor and serveware that make this a truly sweet spot.  The candied pink upholstery on the whimsical banquettes and intricately scrolled bar stools is adorable.  It is reminiscent of the Mad Hatters teaparty in Alice in Wonderland.

The "Sweetiepig" dessert on the menu intrigues me.

Kitchen Atlanta Symphony Showhouse Scagolia Range hood Pewter cabinets

I burn, I pine, I perish! This is by far my most favorite kitchen of all time. It has been my favorite since it's debut in the Jan/Feb 2006 Kitchen and Bath Ideas Magazine.  Kitchen designer Matthew Quinn dreamed up this kitchen for the Atlanta Symphony Associates Decorators' Show House. See the range hood? That is made of scagolia stone, which happens to match the fireplace in the adjacent family room.

Pewter Kitchen hidden pantry storage secret butlers pantry hidden door

Are you ready for it? This is my favorite part; the hidden pantry! This wall is pantry and fridge wall, with cabinet doors hidding the two refridgerators and this lovely little nook.  I am all about surprises! I would consider a hidden pantry to be quite an afforable luxury if your space allows. This particular nook is designated as the coffee bar, however, it would be a great spot for any kind of auxiliary storage.

The dark painted pewter perimeter cabinets are stepped and topped with white marble, while the island in the center of the room is painted a creamy ivory. A mahogany topped table with sculpted legs stands beside the island for casual dinners.

Pewter Pantry with Ivory Island
You may generally notice in a kitchen where two different tones are present, the lighter color is located at the perimeter and the island is in the darker tone. However, in this kitchen the pewter cabinets surround a creamy ivory island. This was done to blend in nicely with the lighter limestone tile flooring.

Oh, and the island is a gem in itself; with the matching marble top and stainless steel apron sink.  I can't get enough of this color combination.

Cream butlers Pantry

The Butlers Pantry has wonderful repeating patterns like the diamond motif in the kitchen.  See it repeated in the leaded glass inserts of the upper cabinets, and again on the lower cabinet doors.

Feather Rooster lamp Light Fixture Trianon

This lamp reminds me an awful lot of an elegant cloche feather hat worn on a Miss Marple Series. This white rooster feather lamp fixture is equal parts drama and tact; much like an episode of Miss Marple itself!

Another interesting fixture Trianon carries are these light and fluffy pendants composed of goose feathers. Shown here in pink, fushia and white. Dreamlike aren't they?

Kitchen Seating Louis XV Chairs Suzanne Kasler

Kitchens are the core of the home, and so it only deems appropriate that you linger there comfortably. Whether it be with family, a friend, or even if it is just yourself with an afternoon tea; a proper place to sit and enjoy only makes sense. This gorgeous white painted kitchen is accented nicely with a harvest wooden table and pale green upholstered Louis XV chairs. What a lovely contrasting compliment and surprising choice from the standard built in island and stools. This kitchen was designed by Suzanne Kasler.

Kitchen Seating Bench Built In Banquette

The built in bench seating in this kitchen is a wonderful respite! With enough floor space to spare, a large armchair and ottoman faces the banquette.  Low windows in a kitchen can be a wonderful feature, not something to be worked around but embraced, just as this kitchen has.
