Let us take a moment to consider the sculpted upholstered headboard. Comfortable in it's environment, it oozes warmth and seems incredibly inviting. It is welcoming you this very moment to prop up against it after a relaxing bath for a light read with a good book. Can you spot the high, medium and low priced headboard? Take a moment and then view the answers below....

In our high spot today is A: the Delano Headboard by Restoration Hardware, upholstered in a natural vintage velvet with a brass nailhead embellishment for the regular price of $1495.00.

The interesting shape of our medium priced headboard (C) is the York by Pottery Barn which is upholstered in a natural organic basket-weave fabric for only $799.00.

The Velvet Tufted Headboard by Urban Outfitters rounds out our collection as the low-priced headboard for only $348.00 (B). *Note that prices have all been compared in the Queen size. |

This darling nursery was designed professionally for the Junior League of Toronto Showhouse this year. A grand showhouse is outfitted quinquennially by top designers and open to the public for viewing and is worth a visit. This year designers like Brian Gluckstein and Kimberley Seldon were part of the envisionaries. The McLean House (this years choice home) is a large scale mansion with equally grand-sized windows and doors with deep molded jambs. So, it is very fitting to see a large patterned wallpaper like this pink and white scrolled design. The large silk swath of fabric around the oval crib and three-panel dressing mirror do not feel out of place either despite their size. In fact, anything smaller would be dwarfed by the magestic natural allure of the abode. |

The steel rods that compose the St. Germane bed frame are much like thick threads of incense swirling around the air. Wafts of the bent metal create a dreamy bed anyone could snuggle up to. Tripoli Designs builds each furniture piece as a custom order. |

This charming European styled bed reminds me an awful lot of the beds in the guest rooms of my grandmother's home in Mexico. I remember the cold feel of the metal headboard and pretty floral designs. The Iron Leaf Bed by Posh Living has delicate iron lattice work that is embellished with metal leaves and ivy. Headboards should always have a feeling of stability, it should anchor your bed, it's a feng shui thing.
